Calibration Weight Classes will let you know the tolerance of the calibration weight you are using. There are three major governing bodies that assign classes to weights: ASTM International (Formerly the American Society for Testing and Materials), OIML (International Organization of Legal Metrology), and NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology). However only at Troemner, we have created an entirely new class of calibration weight, the Ultra Class Series, which meets or exceeds the common standards of ASTM, OIML, and NIST.
Below you will find all of the calibration weight classes explained, how to determine what class of calibration weight you may need, and the different calibration weight classifications.
Troemner UltraClass
Available exclusively from Troemner, these calibration weights are the most precise two-piece weights available with weight tolerances that equal or exceed comparable ANSI/ASTM E617 and OIML R 111 class tolerances.
